Cheque payments

We accept payment by cheque (made payable to Swirl Wine Events), most major credit cards, or bank transfer (by arrangement).

Deposits and cancellations

To confirm a corporate or private booking we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total fee, or £250, whichever is the greater based on the estimated numbers at the time of booking.

We hold provisional bookings for one week, after which the deposit is payable to confirm your date.

The balance is payable 4 weeks before your event.

Corporate tastings:

If a booking is cancelled up to 4 weeks in advance the deposit is retained. If less than 4 weeks notice is given, the balance will also be due as a cancellation charge.

Private tastings:

If you cancel your booking up to 4 weeks in advance we retain your deposit. However, you have 3 months to re-book and use the deposit against your rescheduled event. A second cancellation will forfeit the deposit.

If you cancel your booking within 4 weeks of your event your deposit will be retained, and may not be used against a future booking.

One-day Workshops:

Workshop places must be booked and paid for in full, in advance, to secure your place. We are happy to take bookings and credit card payments by telephone if your prefer.

You can transfer to a later date so long as you give us at least 3 weeks notice, subject to availability.

If you are unable to attend on the day you are welcome to send a friend in your stead. Regretfully, we are unable to issue a refund or transfer to a later course if you do not attend on the day.

Other cancellation charges:

For both private and corporate tastings, if you use our event management service to arrange venue hire, catering, flowers etc., you will also be liable for any cancellation charges incurred by third party suppliers, irrespective of whether you rebook. We will make your obligations clear before you confirm your booking.

In the unlikely (and, to date, unprecedented) event that we have to cancel your booking, we will either find you an alternative supplier or refund you in full. We will not be liable for compensation beyond this.

Security

All credit card transactions are conducted on the secure server at Paypal. No card details for website transactions are held on our own site or seen by anybody at Swirl Wine Events.

Privacy policy

We record the personal details needed for setting you up as a customer, and putting on your Swirl Wine Event. We may also need to share your details with our events management company and other suppliers. We may also use your details to bring you news and offerings from Swirl that we think would be of interest to you. We do not pass your details to a third party for their marketing purposes. If you do not wish Swirl to use your information for our own marketing purposes, please email enquiries@swirl-me.co.uk.
